There are plenty of misconceptions and stereotypes when it comes to tiny living. My friends who are living in a tiny home usually experience people thinking they are poor since they live in a tiny space. People think that they don’t have enough money and are forced to live in a small home rather than living in a bigger space.

Another thing is people who live in tiny homes don’t have kids. I have friends who lives in a tiny home and they have three or four or even five kids living in the house comfortably.

These are just some of the things that my friends encounter but there are plenty out stereotypes and misconceptions out there about tiny home living.

Well as for me, I’ve heard people being surprised to find electronic gadgets and technology that a usual traditional home has like Wifi, cooling and heating equipment, and other compact appliances. You would find the same modern conveniences in any home you occupy. Its just that in a tiny house, everything is minimized and thought through so most tiny house owners decide against appliances that would only take up much space.

Yes I agree with this. Some people think living in a tiny house is like living years backward, back to the old times but its not. You may even find smart tiny homes that are even more advanced than the usual traditional homes.
